Amarok2 Remote

★★★★★ Works on Nexus 7 The Search feature finds the track, but when you touch to play the selected track it jumps to the last track in the current playlist, even if entire collection is loaded in Amarok. Essentially making the search feature useless. If I browse the collection manually from the remote, it will play any track I touch correctly though. So there is a work around, just akward browsing for one track in a collection of 10 000. Keep up the good work, a couple patches and some other features and this will be 5 stars.

★★★★★ Great app! Few twicks may help... This is a great app! It works just fine, the sync with amarok is immediate and works really well, it also displays the artwork from the album cover you're playing! You can finally change tracks at parties without standing by the computer ;) On LG Optimus One Android 2.3.7 and amarok 2.5 the up volume button doesn't work - but the volume botton does the job just fine. However, when pumping up the music volume also the phone's ringer volume goes up, which is a bit annoying. Can this be fixed? The UI is a bit too basic, slicker controls (maybe taking the whole of the screen and not just the half) and better collection browsing (why are the names so small?), possibly also by album/genre, would greatly improve the user experience. Please keep supporting and working on this brilliant and handy piece of software!

★★☆☆☆ Difficult to Set Up & Unreliable In order to use this app, you need to install a plugin for Amarok. Unfortunately I could not install the plugin because the author's website was down. After some searching, I was able to find another website I could download the plugin from. After manually extracting the contents of the plugin and restarting Amarok, I was able to get the app working... sort of. Basically the only functionality that works consistently is the playback controls (play, pause, next track, etc.). Attempting to enqueue or play a specific song fails.

★★☆☆☆ Website offline The app is useless if you cannot download the extra files necessary to get Amarok working with the app.
