★★★★★ The CBC News app is amazing—well-designed, reliable, and essential for staying informed. More than ever, we need to fund the CBC to ensure strong, independent Canadian journalism. Without it, we risk letting American oligarchs dominate our media landscape, pushing their interests and manipulating the Canadian public. A well-funded public broadcaster is vital to preserving our democracy and culture.

★★★★★ Excellent and well written source of Canadian news and global news from the Canadian perspective.

★★☆☆☆ This app continually asks me to provide a rating, the only way to get rid of that I'm assuming is to do a rating. Thus, this rating. Generally the app works well. In spite of having rated the app, I am always being asked to rate it again. This is intrusive and unnecessary. I have lowered my rating as a result. The fact that the app will not allow you to proceed before being required to decline doing a review is a makes this even less of a good app.

★★☆☆☆ "Sorry, this content isn't available right now" anytime I try to hit play on a video or audio clip this error pops up on completion of the ads. I have yet to be able to watch a video on this app.

★★☆☆☆ Does not refresh on my Pixel 8. I have to manually remove the widget and reinstall to get news stories updated.
