★★★★★ Really good replacement to the now defunct Splashpad Mobile crossword app! My only complaint is that the 'skip filled boxes' function doesn't ignore the last letter of the word so it always lets you type over the last letter. Super annoying! Will update my review to 5 stars when/if fixed!

★★★★★ Like it; would love it if users could mute the volume in SETTINGS This app is great except that you cannot mute the volume in SETTINGS, (users used to be able to do this). I like to work on puzzles after everyone has gone to bed and I have a little bit of time to myself. Unfortunately, many of the ads wake my sleeping husband. I don't want to have to turn my volume up & down every time I want to solve a puzzle. I miss having the ability to turn off the volume in my SETTINGS so that I don't have to deal with it. I still saw the ads & clicked on the ads I was interested in.

★★★★★ Agree with the others, updated game won't download any puzzles. What was a great app is now totally useless. Go back to the way it was. 27 June update to original review: I did the data clear and then the uninstall/redownload with the same results. I now only get Sheffer and Joseph (which release notes say should not be available), but no other puzzles. All are checked to download. I don't care for the red background and hate the linkage to Google Play Games. I want to enjoy solving puzzles not sharing everything with all my friends. Old version was spot on. Please bring it back. 28 June update to previous remarks: Thank you so much Ian for the link back to the original version. I am happy once again! My revised rating is for the original version and for your response to your avid users.

★★☆☆☆ WTH!!!! This app was awesome... until the update... no puzzles download at all... guess I gotta go find another crossword puzzle app again... don't know why you messed with it but t sucks now... going to uninstall because now it's just useless and taking up space on my tablet.... sigh smh

★★☆☆☆ Why. Why red. Why fix something that's not broke. And how unbelievable your response to ALL complaining if you don't like here's a link to download the old version. How about instead you listen to ALL telling you how unhappy they are with this update
