Does a very good job of giving relative info about one's hearing. Even more accurate apparently with calibrated headphones. I strongly recommend you use it before letting an expensive agency persuade you that you're in serious need of their help! If nothing else, it gives you a better idea of your strengths and weaknesses in your audio sensitivity. § - only an audiologist can verify that its absolute info. But I feel that it probably pretty nearly is, if it finds your headphone coefficients.

Great little app. Would rate 5 starts, but for issues with custom HF testing: if you can't hear the tone the first time the tone is presented, and press 'can't hear' you get a loud hissing noise until you press 'can hear'. Need to allow tone to get louder for HF (>10KHz) testing. V1.1.3 on Galaxy A3 (2017). Other than that - love it.

It's one of the best apps for hearing test on Android, I've been using it for a few years now. The developer finally released an update (thanks! It fixed that persistent crash on app closing, appreciate it!) My only gripe is with the calibration UI. The continuous tone calibration is basically useless, since it's hard to set the correct volume by up/down buttons as it keeps moving; it should've been done as a normal hearing test with subsequent value adjustments. Adjusting a test to another audio gram is much better, but the UI for it is very well hidden, and I'm not sure it works as advertised. I tried calibrating another device based on the previous I used, and the results are still widely different on the two devices. I also didn't find a way to store multiple custom adjustments (e.g. for different headphones); that would also be very useful.

The june 2021 update has bugs. The app was perfectly fine until the june update. Now it is not usable.

Test needs to be calibrated by someone with normal hearing which makes this useless to me

Would not play through headphones, rendering the app useless. Having no problems with sound on other apps. Ironic the hearing test doesn't work.
