Marine Navigator Lite

★★★★★ Such a simple and great app. no need for $3,000 chart plotters. Used every day on my boat. Took a minute to figure out how to download and install correct charts but after that never an issue.

★★★★★ First, a key caveat. This app works with older Android OS versions which have the menu button functionality. That wasn't a problem for me when I tested it, so it didn't impact my score. However, if you don't have the menu button on your Android OS, this will be challenging. Note: That dependency doesn't exist for the full version, only for the Lite version. This app pulls in the high quality NOAA maps, and allows to set destinations and plot the current GPS position on that map. The NOAA maps are free. There is a learning curve, and this app would be improved with a five minute tutorial of how to do these things, but overall it's pretty awesome, even for a free app.

★★☆☆☆ Doesn't work on Galaxy Note Pro No menu buttons! Can't import maps, so cannot get started..... Basic function missing. Update (05-Jul-16): still no button, cannot access menu/charts - was tempted to download full version since would like to use visitmyharbour but appears cannot.

★★☆☆☆ The "overflow" button is not shown Galaxy S6 Yes, as previous people have stated, the three dot, as displayed button on other applications on the top right of the screen, is not apparent on this application of the free lite version, therefore I could not download any charts. It is too bad as I will be bing a full version of a navigation app and just needed to see how the free one worked before spending the money. Obviously I will not be purchasing the full version as I can only assume that the "overflow" button will not be apparent.

★★☆☆☆ Charts could not load on SD card With limited core memory it is important to be able to load data / charts onto the SD memory card. I hope, in the future, this app will accommodate SD memory.
