Bought and used Menard inspection camera for the first time today. This review covers the software, and the hardware. The software is fine. Nothing fancy, does what it needs to do. Annoying that I can't download files from the app directly to my camera roll (android) but that's a minor complaint. I had no trouble connecting my phone to the device the hardware is great, actually. Durable, 640x480 resolution which is not great but workable. For $80 this was a fine buy👍

The people getting the error, "something went wrong" are not following instructions. Open the app, then check your Wi-Fi connection and select "Master force . " Go back to the app and choose the tool you are using and the image of the camera will appear on your phone screen. It works great and has a very clear image. You will be glad you have it. They should make a phone mount for it that would allow you to attach the phone right to the scope.

Terrible app. I set everything up as instructed. The camera claims it connects, but nothing ever shows up on the phone. I have the latest Android version (11) on the Galaxy S21 G5. Going to return it to Menard and get something from Amazon.

Device doesn't work due to Android update, anybody who buys this take it back and get an inspection camera with a screen.
