HTTP upload not functional The motion detection part of this app works great! Compared to IP Webcam Pro I was particularly interested in the low-power use of the motion detector. It actually saves power relative to leaving the screen on. One star removed because the HTTP feature just doesn't work. The author's reply is wrong; it has nothing to do with PHP. Chrome and Tasker on the same device talk to my local HTTP server just fine, but this app reports an error when sending the request and the HTTP server does not receive any traffic. Possibly the app is expecting Wi-Fi and does not support wired data connections? I have noticed that problem in a few other apps. I found I could get notifications for motion events over HTTP by linking this app to Tasker, but you can't send images over HTTP that way.

Can't get it to work with Tasker Try to send an intent from Tasker to start Motion Detector, and it doesn't work! I changed my rating after talking to the developer. The app is great! Now if I can just get the sound alert to silence... :)

I use motion detector on my old Galaxy Tab 10.1, and it seems to work correct for about a day. After that it stops detecting or taking photos. When I click the button to stop detecting I hear a number of clicks as if the camera is taking pictures, but there are no images stored. Can tasker automate the activate and deactivate the detection? It would allow me to check the device once a week and I can focus on the images at daylight via a schedule. If this is possible, where is the documentation?

False detection Tried all setting to get this to detect motion but got 34 false results in a 4 hr period. Though this might be caused by changes in lighting. Then tried inside a lamp lit box and still got false positives. Using a Nexus 7 on lollipop. Good set of features but just can't get the motion sensor to work correctly. Needs some sort of test mode like other apps, so you can better set the sensitivity.

Worked well for a few minutes, now the front and back cameras don't seem to register events. When I stop event recording there is a message stating "error occurred". There doesn't seem to be an error log with more detail, so the program isn't very useful in its current state. Edit: When there are no recorded events for approx. 10 seconds, the detector appears to stop, even though the program thinks it's still running. I can restart it with a Tasker intent. Dev, if you're reading this, any idea what's crashing the detector?

After 1 week of tweaking this app, I am still unable to get it to work as intended. It only takes pictures at the interval time set by the user. This app was supposed to take pictures when it detects motion. It does not do that at all for me. It failed BIG TIME. I don't know how it got a 4.4 rating when it does not take pictures when it detects motion on Android 11. You will have 500+ pictures, and it will drain your battery. Based on other reviews since 2015, this could be an abandoned app.
