★★★★★ Great app. Very handy for quick check, esp. for silver. More or less works with some additional coins if they have the same geometry (but relief is different, so not 100%). With more users, we can submit more coin profiles, so I hope it will become more popular. Ping coin is free and open source.
★★★★★ Works very well and accurate on Samsung A20. Though some coins should roll into one to use the same ping test (Morgan & Peace dollars and Franklin, Liberty & 1964 Kennedy Half Dollars)
★★☆☆☆ I can't get it to listen long enough. As soon as I hit "start test" it listens for a split second then stops, as though it heard a ping. But there is no way there was enough time to even ping. If it listened longer maybe I'd have time to ping a coin. As it is, it stops listening almost as soon as I tell it to start. At first, I thought it must be because I was in a loud room or something, maybe the AC or fan was interrupting it. But no, I turned all that off, it was absolutely quiet.
★★☆☆☆ Will rate it higher once the description matches the app, it says it does 1oz gold britannia coins but there not on the list, only the 1oz silver britannia.
★★☆☆☆ Showed counterfeit Morgan as good. The Morgan failed the silver-slide test and was confirmed by my coin store to be bogus. But it passed the tap test on this app.
★★☆☆☆ App functionality is allright, but it's really frustrating how the majority of coin collecting apps and websites act as if americans are the only people in the world collecting coins, and freedom dollars are the only coins worth collecting 😠
