When it comes to Points of Interest (POIs), the majority of apps claiming
to manage POIs are just "passive" solutions working with ready-made content
and allowing almost no user intervention. POI Pocket is one of the
surprisingly few apps that allow true user input, that is, adding
user-prodeced content. The fact that I can add my own list of possibly
obscure and idiosyncratic POIs is the major advantage of this app. The
other is, of course, synchronization across different platforms, from
computer to mobile devices and even conventional GPS devices (haven't tried
the last one though). However, I have a wishlist (which accounts for the 4
stars rating.). I wish this app had: 1--A couple of fields for the place's
PHONE NUMBER, that should be clickable 2 -- A field for its EMAIL ADDRESS.
4--- A field for its TARIFF (useful when using your app for accommodation
or museums...) plus the possibility of SORTING POIs by their tariffs. 5---
A field for the place's RATINGS (user defined and/or connected to
TripAdvisor or Foursquare or the like) 6-- The possibility to choose from
among several COLOURS FOR THE TAGS. The present light gray has poor
visibility. Ideally the user should be able to select individual colors
for individual tags. With such improvements I think your app would become
the best one on Google Play!😁

Pretty unique app in what it does. There have been server issues in the past when it went down. Zero updates for a long time, the developer doesn't respond to requests. Would love to find a similar app that is in active development, as I'm not sure this one can be relied upon in the future. Currently, finding clean installations on some older Android smartphones aren't synchronizing to get any POIs. It says synchronization successful, but there is nothing there. How to seek help?!

I wrote two emails in January 2021 to the developers, and they don't want to answer me with my specific situation. Update dec. 2021 - Apparently the app is no longer supported by its makers. Last update was in 2018. To this date, the owners won't answer my emails, plus the Web UI moves really slow nowadays. RIP POI Pocket.

Failure This App has a mind of its own! I shared a location in Bahrain, and in the App it shows that location in India. This happens in the first screen after sharing from Google (import POI) and therefore there is no point in clicking `Save`. Please fix. Maybe the App uses altitude in place of linctus and vice versa.
