Why do I have to type the details of the reminder (title and time) instead of speaking it to the Google Assistant?

Easy to make a reminder, but it never pops up or does anything to remind you, unless you open the App to look at it. Other than a red circle on the app icon, pretty useless.

Simple. That's great. But unintuitive. Only uses 24hr time format. Cannot set to repeat hourly. Daily is the shortest repeat period. And the reminder notification doesn't show anything. You have to remember to check for it. And with that I am astonished this app has more than 2 stars.
