The setup of a new account does not work when Firefox is set as the default browser. I needed to change the default browser settings to chrome before clicking the activation link that one receives by SMS. What I find a bit of obscure is the fact that I am able to log in with an SMS code as well which (today) isn't security best practice.

The QR code activation didn't work. The SMS link-based activation didn't work either. Here is what did work: 1. Register iTAN after first login on the web. 2. Start the Sign app and the activation procedure. If it keeps trying with the SMS link and doesn't work due to a bad code, clean up the Sign app data in app properties. 3. Start again the Sign app and activation and an SMS code (not SMS link) will be sent and that will work (hopefully). A disaster app indeed...

Useless!!! I have upgraded my phone, and it is impossible to activate this app. The process sends me round in circles back to play store. I'm now stuck in the ridiculous situation of having to use Santander Sign on my old phone should I wish to do any transaction.

Where do I find the QR code? I'm trying to activate but don't receive an activation code via SMS.

Completely useless. The activation code sent via text just opens the Google Play Store, but not the app. At no point it is possible to enter an activation code in the app. There is no way to trigger an activation via QR code from the website. I'm giving up. This is the worst of online banking I've ever seen. Stay away from Santander.
