No permission request! :) ZERO permission requests is a big plus. However I'm not entitely sure I'm using it fully. I don't really understand how it secures my files...

Makes its own app file storage available for reading and writing over SAF; in spite of there being loads of so-called "vault" apps on Google Play, the only other app I'm aware of that does the same thing is Termux. The practical upshot of that is that you can use this app to get around the fact that Android only lets you have your documents and media in emulated storage on either internal or adoptable but not both; map this app as a custom location in Total Commander or other file managers.
