★★★★★ The Shining Force games are S Tier hands down, but the emulator has two fundamental flaws. The D-Pad is horrendous. You're going to be running all over the place when you just wanted to move one space to the left. The save feature sometimes leads to an endless load screen every time, and the way only way out is to restart the app. Don't try to rely on it. Huge plus, ads in the unpaid version are very unintrusive and minimal, but I went ahead and bought the game bundle for $5.

★★☆☆☆ D-Pad is terrible. Really slows down the game. I had extra credit, so I went ad free right away and highly regret it. Save system requires a connection and even the game loading seems to chug if you aren't on a decent connection. Makes no sense for an offline game. I can understand needing to load ads, but considering I paid to remove ads I expect to be able to play offline.

★★☆☆☆ Good old games, horrible port job. Literally, go on Steam, buy the Genesis collection and grab the Shining Force games on there. Better done ports on a larger screen, you get more features, no problems saving game data, and NO ADS.
