SilverCrest Wifi Plug

★★★★★ A lot of people seem to be having problems with their sockets. I found that if I hold the sockets button in for over 5 seconds it will clear it's memory. Then you can install it again with the the new wireless log in details. My issue is that the Android version of this app will not recognise the router. It automatically fills in the 7Up to my list of sockets. Once it is added I can operate it perfectly with the Android app. It's not the best solution but it does work

★★★★★ I would like technical information (an API), so that I can program the device myself, without the provided app and cloud service. I bought the device hoping that I could program it as I want it (for example, turn on the lights every day at sunset). Or, at least, the socket could be programmable and operated directly from its web interface, to avoid reliance on the cloud service. Perhaps the app can talk directly to the socket via the lan. Or it could have an "offline" mode that creates a timer configuration file that can be uploaded to the socket. When I first tried the socket, I couldn't see it in the app. I tried again several weeks later and it worked. Perhaps the cloud service wasn't working properly the first time. There is no troubleshooting information in the documentation. There is no product web page either, besides the PDF of the manual. The app does not work properly on small screens (320x480). In the Add Timer screen, the repeat days and the cancel/save buttons overlap, making it very hard to program.

★★☆☆☆ Was great but as others have said has suddenly stopped working.. won't accept email, password or even a new account register. So my timer settings are stuck on!

★★☆☆☆ SilverCrest wi - first plug app I've followed the instructions but the app is nut allowing my andriod phone to retrieve the icon. Really want this to work what shall I do?

★★☆☆☆ Power off.... Had to remove them as the plugs were switching themselves off cutting the electrical power to my 2 fridges...not reliable..do something!😠

★★☆☆☆ Doesn't work with Android 5 /Lollipop I can't give it anything because but it simply wouldn't work. It's supposed to be compatible with 4.0 or later, but I suspect no one has tested it with 5.0+ . As it's configured from the phone App before it's on the WiFi it must be communicating in a novel way to begin with. I suspect it's using the Add hoc Layer 2 stuff, as it won't talk Layer 3 infrastructure over WPA without the PSK. If the net stack on the phone won't allow itself to be hacked this way, you're going nowhere. This one is gong back.

★★☆☆☆ Rubbish, every time i check on my timers, the plug sitches off, major pain in the backside

★★☆☆☆ The wifi plug just stopped working and cant log in to the app anymore. Resetting the password doesen't either just gives an error. Can this be fixed?
