I have been using this version (6 Plus) for several years now with an OnStar controller for my telescope connected via BT and never had any issues. The app features are fantastic and well-developed, however, I last used this app on 9/3/23 and after the latest update for this package on 9/8/23 to 'fix' a scope connection issue the app has refused to connect with any scope either on BT or Wi-Fi since. I suspect this was deliberate move introduced by Marketing dept to force users to the new V7.

Great! No ads! I use this app to sky align my electron telescope. It shows the best of today's night sky. It gives catalog numbers. With electron telescope I can navigate catalogs and goto desired objects. I like that it gives you a description of the object, so you can learn while observing. It allows you to record your observations. This is really a great app for backyard astronomers.

I have a Electron scope, and have been using Electron Sky Portal (a free version of Sky Safari for Electron mounts), which works very well. But, I wanted to use a Bluetooth connection rather than Wi-Fi, so I shelled out hard-earned cash for SkySafari-6-Plus. Wow. What a difference: The UI is like a puzzle maze compared to Sky Portal, and the app continuously pops up prompts to purchase "add-ons" that nobody wants. Would get a refund if I could. If you have a Electron Telescope, just say No! And stick with Sky Portal.

The star chart is great, very accurate. However, the connection to my scope (Sky Watcher 10996) doesn't work via Wi-Fi. Weirdly the Wi-Fi works with both SynScan Pro and Tellurium Plus. Overall I prefer this app interface but without the telescope control.
