I'm using this app with an AZ GTI in AZ and EQ mode. It works fine. In Eq. mode, you can align the mount without seeing the polar star, which is quite useful. I also use it for piloting my DSLR (EOS 2000d) and I do not face any problem.

Android app deserves a much better score than shown here. App has gone through several updates and fixes. I used the hand controller that came with my Sky Watcher scope until recently, when I gave the Android app another try. I now rely on the app almost exclusively. Alignment is easier and there are more choices for alignment method. Wireless connection eliminates being tethered to the mount by a coil cord. Downside is a smartphone screen lacks tactile feedback, but practice helps.

I really wish I would've read reviews of this app before I purchased a sky watcher virtuoso gti 150p. I've watched tons of vids and researched online of how to align and use the telescope. Even after aligning with Saturn and the Vega star, the app won't even go back to either if I tell it to. The arrow keys to manually move the telescope don't work as well. The goto function of my telescope is worthless. I would've been better off buying a nicer 6" dob without goto. App is poorly optimized

When I press polar align the app crashes? It didn't do that before the update.

Complete and utter trash. The mount and the app. Never know if either will work on any given day. Today, the app connects to the mount but when I click any of the alignment options, it crashes. Last month, the mount simply stopped working. No errors, just stopped. Next time I tried using it, it was fine. Do not buy Sky watcher products unless you like being frustrated with poor quality and setting your money on fire.
