Was slightly nervous after reading some of the other reviews. But my own experience has been mostly positive, had two different Tech Air 5 jackets and the only issue I've come across is pairing the jacket to the app via the QR code on the jacket which didn't work for both jackets however ended up manually pairing both of them with the unique code in the collar. No connection issues after that and the app works as advertised. Would recommend.

Works perfectly. For those who can't connect the vest to their app it is due to the fact that you have to send to Alpine star your chassis number and your alpine star account number to register your airbag. Thank you.

This app makes me worry that the product itself won't work when I need it to. Almost every time I fire it up to check the battery level of the jacket I have to uninstall it and reinstall it. It will not open up unless I do so. Then the connectivity is only good if I am right on top of my jacket with my phone. On the bike I might as well not have the app. The app doesn't see the jacket through my outer jacket. I feel like I made an 800 dollar mistake.

The App does not work. Can't connect or register. Hopefully the actual airbag works, because if this App is any indication of Alpine stars competency, then I have my doubts!

I'm not only forced to create a login to use the tech-air vest, but I also have to give away my phone number. Adding insult to injury it looks as if I need to enable location tracking for My Ride feature even if I don't want it just to be able to use app. I should just send Alpine stars some DNA and be done with it.
