I found this better than the default tello app, and it is working flawlessly on my android device. It is a lot easier to fly and control the drone with this amazing application. A lot of customizations can be done through settings, and it comes pretty built with a lot of features and settings. It works well with my external Bluetooth evo game pad pro 4 controllers as well. Highly recommend for Dji Tello drone. The video footage is smooth with no frame drops with or without a Wi-Fi extender.

Auto hide IS NOT ON. Shows controls but has no controls. And it won't hold connection. Turned plane mode and the tello app keeps saying turn plane mode on. But it's on. When I try using the app the original way I get a connection according to my phone. But tello app says otherwise And the few seconds I get the take off promt it takes off but loses connection and will fly away. Another person in your comments said their drone was lost due to this issue. Plane mode doesn't work. What next.

At first, it seemed as a cool app, but it has a few serious problems. One of them is that at higher altitude, it won't take photos and even if the photo is taken, it takes forever to transfer photo to phone, I mean really forever. I tried with the stock app at the same locations and altitude, and it takes photo every time and transfer it very quickly. As this is a basic function that I mostly use Tello FPV is practically useless. And this is just one of the problems with the app...
