★★★★★ Found the app very useful in locating a sweet spot for viewing in my home state, Maine, that would maximize length of totality while minimizing drive time and crowds. Also helped encourage friends to go a little further than they planned to increase their time significantly. During the eclipse I found the countdown and progress handy, especially easily knowing how much safe naked eye time remained. Definitely worth the 3 bucks for full feature. I don't know why people except free rides. Thanks!

★★☆☆☆ The app crapped out about an hour before the eclipse. I didn't have great service where I was. I already paid for the app the night before and synced my location well in advance of the eclipse (in the location I would be viewing it). So why did it need a network connection to operate? It's just a timer based on geolocation. It wouldn't even open during critical moments. I didn't get any notifications until AFTER totality. Made the paid portion of the app nearly useless. I am disappointed.
