Timely Automatic Time Tracking

★★★★★ I don't often write review on apps - but given the top 4 or 5 reviews I see in this list are 1 star nonsense reviews, I thought I would weigh in. 1. Yes, Timely does cost $168/year - for anyone that has a lot of time to track, that's nothing. I EASILY spend ~15 minutes per day tracking my time - sometimes more. I make less than the USA median salary, and if I factor: 1 hour of time tracking per week x $18 Now I save 75%+ of that time. $18 x 56 weeks = $1,008 I'm happy to save $900/year 2. Timely really needs the desktop app. If you came here for a mobile only tracking solution - then yes, I'm sure the price is steep, and you will be let down. Otherwise, Timely is amazing and even tracks Slack conversations which many other auto-trackers fail miserably at.

★★★★★ Great app for tracking the time. Together with the web app the combination makes it possible to track your day-to-day actions and log the time more accurately. Hugely beneficial if you are logging the time and billing money per hour.

★★☆☆☆ Absolutely useless unless you sign up for an account which is only free for 2-week trial period - a fact that you have no way of knowing until you have download the app

★★☆☆☆ Watch out! This program costs $168 PER USER. If for example you want to use it to keep track of time of caregivers for an elderly parent, and there are three of them, that's more $500 per year. So if you set it up to try it out, and you forget to cancel before the free trial ends (which happens to us all sometimes), they will charge you the full amount for all your users for the year--even if you never actually used the app. They just want to take advantage of you and don't care if their app is useful to you. Customer support should be called customer harm.

★★☆☆☆ MOST DANGEROUS APP: works intermittently, sometimes imports data, sometimes not, no discernible reason. Memory will not install on PC. Support unhelpful, asked to explain problem 3 times (even after sending log twice), then ignored me, then, when reminded, just unhelpful again. UNINSTALLING EVERYWHERE. I feel like I dodged a bullet.
