downloading videos onto my cell phone. Hopefully it never needs to be used
for the purpose of accident or incident footage. I am very happy with it.

Connected pretty easily once I found the Wi-Fi Direct option on my phone (Pixel 8). Once I was connected I was easily able to download footage from the camera. Would be nice if there were an option to get thumbnails for clips, so you don't need to go through the time-consuming process of downloading them individually. Maybe also a way to stream videos instead of having to download the entire thing. Other than that though, it seems to do the job.

I have been using thinkware dashcams for my Ford vehicles. Toyota dashcam is new for me but same way of Wi-Fi connection with a cellphone. I read some reviews with connection issues with a phone. Try this way. 1. don't open the app, go-to Wi-Fi connection 2. Right top corner three dots -->advanced -->Wi-Fi direct 3. Select your dashcam & password. Long story short : Wi-Fi connection first and open your app.

App is useless. Attempts to connect to the camera with Wi-Fi Direct & starts to download but ALWAYS drops out before completion & asks you to reconnect. Unable to retrieve any video except by removing the card & viewing on a PC.

Useless app which never connect with any phone. Toyota Canada Charged close to $800 for a dashcam which never connect to its own app. It's connect with Wi-Fi and then tells you no internet available. Ridiculous fraud.

Wi-Fi connection complete. App won't proceed. Keeps returning to Wi-Fi connect (where it already says Connected to the dash cam).
