Great app. Check out pleco. Pleco is by far the most common chinese dictionary app. Advantages of this app over pleco: NATIVE SPEAKER AUDIO Better handwriting & handwriting trainer (assuming u buy premium) DISADVANTAGES: Not as much depth. Flashcard algorithm is worse. This is especially annoying for flashcard sets over 50 If tone colors are turned on, the characters will be colored to match their tone during flashcards. This means you can't test your tones. Result: get both, use both.

The Train Chinese suit of apps is a great collection of tools to train Mandarin systematically: it's a dictionary (pinyin, Heinz, English, Spanish), a flashcard trainer, it shows how characters are written with the correct strokes sequence, and the accompanying apps are great for training pronunciation, gamifying writing characters, and pinyin pronunciation amongst other functions. It is not a course, but a set of tools complementary to any Mandarin course you do. I'm a life member.

The latest update is terrible and kills the advantages of this application which I used daily. 1. Chinese character size is too small; 2. Not possible to set the wake-up period manually (as it was before); 3. New interface pretending to be trendy, but it's ugly and reduces previous usability.

I use this app on the iOS device. But this has so ugly design, write hieroglyphics is so uncomfortable. So you should upgrade your design. 2021🤦🏻♂️

Omg, what did you do with the application??? The new look is totally unacceptable. Guys please, make the option to revert to the old interface. I have been using this app for more than 10 years, loved it very much. Now the new apk is totally disgusting and not usable
