I've had this Trane since I moved into this house (6) years, this month 😳. First time (representatives help) I installed This App and just loves ❤️ it so FAR. I'll check ✔️ back you all. The App saved me hundreds of dollars, I must say. It enables me to monitor my thermostat screen to" WAKE UP" from blank white, after rebooting the system. Now I have control of my system" TRANE" I LOVE ❤️ IT. SO FAR.

Setting schedules is confusing. I wish I could set time and temperature and save a schedule more easily. Also, it needs to be more straight forward adding and deleting schedules. The Trane schedule is not intuitive. It needs some work.

The December 12-03-2024 update broke the app, shows 72F inside no mater what the temp is, when you raise or lower the temp on heater mode in the app it does nothing on the thermostat itself, this is the same on my phone, tablet and the Trane webpage on my Windows 11 computer. Before the update never had a problem. These are Android devices with the latest updates. The version of the Trane App is 8.2.0 and the thermostat is the XL824

EDITED 12/26/2024. I can't count the number of times I pick up the phone and open the app only to see 'NOT CONNECTED." We have contacted and received no response. Honestly, I thought this feature was going to be really convenient and save money, as we could set it while we were away from home. My recommendation? Buy anything but a Trane: (end of edit) It does not stay connected. It happens frequently, and we've gotten no help from the installer.

Settings are not obvious for emergency heat. When I set to on, does that mean it will only use emergency heat or does that just enable the system to use emergency heat when system parameters suggest it use emergency heat?
