Whenever we venture into Cambridge city center my wife and I, both septuagenarians, always treat ourselves to a few drinks and a nice lunch at the Regal, Witherspoon. We enjoy just relaxing with a book or catching up on emails while awaiting the familiar delights of the menu. Service is always fast and professional, waiting staff are polite and professional. Now we wrinklies have to learn how to use the mobile phone technology to order our meals, we lazy sods! Everything worked great so far ...

Update: On Thursday I was charged twice for an order. I have just noticed a refund from Witherspoon in my banking app. I have adjusted my review to reflect that Witherspoon sorted the issue and the app is reliable 99% of the time- I was just unlucky on Thursday.

It would be five star if you could advise though the app that you have a food allergy if you are a person who has verbal communication as I'm someone who struggles with communication verbal and the app allows me to order independently, but I can't say about allergies though the app which means someone has to tell a member of staff on my behalf I have allergies taking away some independence I have.

Downloaded for the first (and last) time to use in a local Weather spoons. Interface looks ok, but half the items we wanted to order weren't on the app. Went to the bar to order instead, and was informed by the staff "that's a regular occurrence". Not much point in having an "order from your table" app if you can't use it to order !!!

Whenever adding pinot to a food order it comes back as unavailable. Even though we can order pinot as an individual drink by the app. Also needs to be able to customize the order via the app.

I have used the app frequently in the past, however, last week ended up ordering, payment was processed and charged, but the order didn't accept. I got an error of "arrays and traversable can be unpacked". Three other people had this. My friends and I are attempting to get a refund from evasive Witherspoon support, so it's quite frustrating.
