The app said the doctor I set an appointment with takes my insurance. I was turned away because they did not, in fact, take my insurance. Waste of time.

The app said my insurance was accepted at the doctors listed and since I had a fever, I was relieved to get a same day appointment then I received a text from the actual practice saying they DON'T accept my insurance. I went through this twice. I am going to be paying $99 for an out-of-network appointment. I am on the phone w my insurance member services to find a PCP and by God's grace maybe an appointment today, but! ZocDoc did not yield the results I was hoping for.

Successfully scheduled an optometrist appointment through ZocDoc. Then the email spam started about ratings, follow-up appointments, screenings, physicals and more that aren't relevant at all to scheduling one single optometrist appointment. Tried to unsubscribe and got directed to a page: "This is an error page. We don't like it any more than you do." Super sketchy and I regret not just scheduling my original appointment over the phone with the optometrist's office. - Call them? In 2025? Yikes!
